All about the Gorichen Base Camp High Altitute Trek

Nameri National Park is a national park in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam, India, about 35 km from Tezpur. Nameri is about 9 km from Chariduar, the nearest village. Nameri shares its northern boundary with the Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh.

  1. Day 1 Arrived Guwahati airport

    Arrived Guwahati airport. Drive to   Bhulakpong / Eco camp Namari National Park  230km 6 hrs  Over/ Night / atHotel

  2. Day 10 MAGO TO THIMBU [3200M]

    4 Hours trek rocky trial following the TawangChhu  River  followed by a stiff  climb Camp  no 7.  Near Thimbu Village at 3200 m

  3. Day 11 THIMBU TO JUNG

    6 Hours  trek  through Mixed Forest , Crossing and re-crossing  the TawangChhu River  and its  tributaries more than  a dozen time  over log and Suspension Bridge  to reach  the  highway, Trek End .  Transfer to jeep and drive to Tawang 40km 1 hrs, Over Night/ Hotel

  4. Day 12 Buddhist nunnery

    in morning visit Buddhist nunnery BRUMDONGCHUNGANNI GOMPA /[, which are the adobe of nuns. Unlike the monks, the girls become nuns and join the nunnery on their own and there is no social pressure or tradition making the practice compulsory. Bramadurngchunganigompa is the oldest AniGompa in the Tawang District. explore the 400 years old Tawang monastery and have audience with Rempoche the famous NomdenNymgyalLhatse . The Tawang monastery was founded by Mera Lama LordeGyamtso in year 1860 .It was founded by the head of the spiritual life of Gelupa sect of theMahayana school of Buddhism .   10. Day 4 CHANDER TO THONGRI [ITS 2500M ]

    Trek up hill along good Trek Through forest for 5 hrs Trek to Camp NO 2


    6 Hours hard trek through coniferous forest   forest with two steep climbs.Beautifull view of the Sela range surrounding valley and Himalaya watershed.


    3 Hours trek steady  climb  through forest , Rhododendrons  to  cross over  Possing la Pass its 3900 Meters and Continue Climbing for  another  04 Hours  to  Camp 4 at  Potak

  13. Day 7 Short Trek Explore

  14. Day 8 POTAK TO LURTHUM [4000M]

    3 Hours trek uphill to Cross the Highest Pass Tsela Pass its 4550 M. on this Bailey Trail there is a Alpine  lake below the summit and breath taking  Panoramic View   of the  sela ridge , the river Valleys,Gorichan .[6500m .and kangto[7200 M ]  Peak  on the Himalayan  Water shed . continue  down hill trek  for  2 hrs to river Valley with back ground of Mighty Peak . Camp 5  lorthum .

  15. Day 9 LOURTHAM TO MAGO [3500 M]

    6 Hours trek   first along the River Valley, Passing by a Small Cluster of Yak Huts to descent through Rhododendron and coniferous Forest to a tributary of   TawangChhu River    to reach Camp no 6 Near Mago Village   at 3500m,
