(160km 4hrs) Drive Morning explore the Majuli Island. The world’s largest River Island is famous for its twenty-two 15th Century "satras". These are Hindu aishnev (followers of Lord Vishnu) monasteries functioning as enters of Assamese arts. The worship of Lord Vishnu is through dance, music and poetry. The satras take in young boys and groom them. The daily routine includes working in the fields, tending cattle, prayer, discussion and study. The satras have also nurtured certain art and craft traditions, which can now be found only here. In Natun Samugri satra for instance, one can still find the craft of mask-making; Kamlabari satra still makes the finest boats. We will also explore the villages of Miri tribes who live on this island. Drive to Kaziranga by Ferry 2 hrs crossing and drive 3 hrs over/ night /hotel.

History records that good and friendly relationship existed between the Shangnyu and the Ahom Kings of Assam. Shangnyu Angh use to collect taxes from all the villages under his domain-extending from Sibsagar in Assam to the Wanchos in Arunachal. Also visit Sangha to see head hunting trophies and houses constructed in the true Konyak tradition with palm leaves roofing and the main pillars jutting out.

Drive to Dirang 221 km in 6 hrs . The journey is along a very scenic road traversing forested hills. And crossing over the Nichephu pass to the Tanga valley .traversing the Tanga valley. The road climbs through a series of hairpins to the town of Bomdila, located at 2800m height pass of same name. Here a after the road descend to the picture postcard Dirang valley at 1600m which is our Destination for the day. Overnight at hotel in Dirang .

Explore the 400 years old tawang monastery , and have an audience with Rimpoche in afternoon visit Urgelling Monastery dating back to 1489 followed by the seru monpa village craft center and museum Over/ night at hotel The famous Gelden Namgyal Lhatsa, Popularly Know as Tawang monastery was founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyamsto in year of 1860 -81.This Monastery is largest in the Country an is the Second largest in Asia . This Monastery is fountain head of the Spiritually life of Gelukpa Sect of Mahayana school of Buddhism . the inner walls of Dukhang the assembly hall are printed with murals of various divinities and saints the silver casket wrapped in silk containing the thankas of Godess of Sri Devi[ palden lhamo ] the principal deity of monastery ,l is kept here. It was given to Merak lama by Vth Dalai lama . the thankas printed with blood drown from the nose of the Vth Dalai Lama .A colossal richly – gilled statue of Lord Buddha occupies the Middle o f the northern side. It is the largest image of the monastery and is about 20feet high. The urgelling monastery is the birth place of sixth Dalai lama Dalai Lama was deposed in by the1706.in 1714 the destruction of all Gelukpa Gompa was Carried out by Sokpa Jomkhar, a Mongolian warrior who involved from Bhutan. During the campaign, the Dalai Lama Original monastery at Urgalling was destroyed . all valued possession of urgelling monastery like scriptures, statues and other were taken to tawang monastery. It was during the ka-gyur[ scripture] written out in gold and silver arrival at tawang monastery , where they preserved preserved to this days. Today modest gompa stands at this.
20 /3/2019 Tawang-Zemithang-Tawang (By surface 88 Kms/03 Hrs, one way)
After breakfast full day excursion to Zemithang to witness the Gorsam Kora Buddish festival at Zemithang Gorsam Chorten. This is the largest Buddhist stupa of the entire area. Believed to be constructed in the early part of 12th centur, it is founded by a Monpa monk, Lama Pradhar. On the top of the chorten is a semi-circular dome that rests up on a three terraced plinth. In addition, on the lower most terrace of the plinth there are four miniature stupas standing erect on the four corners. We will also visit Pangchenpa tribe which is migrated from China and later drive back to Tawang .

Morning visit Namari national park visit mari tribal village Drive to Ziro Enroute visit visiting of the Monpa Buddhist Monastery at Itanagar and state measum local market . Driving along the Ranga River , we quickly enter the extensive foothills of the Himalaya . The mountain road cuts through densely forested hills and slowly keeps gaining altitude till we reach the Apatani plateau at 5700 feet. Overnight at Hotel .
23/3/2019 TO 25/3/2019 ZIRO Full day visit of the Myoko festival of the Apatani tribe.
Ziro Using Ziro as a base, the entire day is spent visiting the Hong and other Apatani Villages . Everywhere we go we are warmly welcomed. As E.T. Dalton noted in 1845, “The men do not rejoice in much drapery, they wear a girdle of canework painted red which hangs behind in long bushy tail.” Just as the tail is the distinctive part of the male dress, so is the nose plug peculiar to the Apatani women. It is the ambition of each woman to wear the largest possible nose plugs, which are made of wood. Both sexes extensively tattoo their faces. Each sect has distinctive features. Their hats, clothes, ornaments, language and even physical features are totally different.

Departing early in the morning, we descend from the Ziro plateau and drive along the Kamla River valley through dense jungle country, passing picturesque villages of Nishis and the Hill Miris tribes. We’ll visit Muri Mugli, a Hill Miris tribe, and if road conditions are good we will continue another eight miles on a mountain dirt road to Noori, a small visit o back to over/night hotel.
